Four phases. One unbroken loop. We reduce food waste at the source, nourish our community with fresh fruits and vegetables, create eco products from surplus, and compost everything else - returning free soil to participants and farm partners to grow food again.
The 4-Phase Sustainability Plan is not four separate programs running in parallel. It's one continuous, self-reinforcing cycle - where the output of each phase becomes the input of the next.
We reduce waste at the source. What remains nourishes our community with fresh fruits and vegetables. What can't be eaten becomes eco products. What remains is composted using our advanced urban technology - and the finished soil goes back to participants and farm partners to grow food again.
The loop never breaks. Nothing is wasted. Every phase strengthens the next.
Every phase has a defined role, a community impact, and a direct connection to the next. Here's how each one works.
Every solution starts before the problem. We partner with food producers, distributors, and retailers to intercept surplus food in bulk - before it ever reaches a landfill. Through education initiatives and collaboration with local and state government, we help build the infrastructure and strategies needed for sustainable food waste management at a systems level. What gets rescued doesn't go to waste - it goes to work.
What gets rescued doesn't go to waste - it goes to work. Next: Phase 2 - Nourish Our Community.
The food rescued in Phase 1 goes straight to families. At our hub, families can walk in Monday through Friday and select their own fresh fruits, vegetables, and produce in an open market setting - no appointments, no barriers, just the dignity of choice. We operate 17 pop-up distribution sites bringing rescued produce directly into communities, and offer in-home delivery for seniors 65 and older who face transportation challenges. What was once surplus becomes someone's next meal.
Food that cannot be distributed for consumption moves to Phase 3 - eco product development and manufacturing.
Not all rescued food can be eaten - but none of it needs to be wasted. Organic surplus that can't be distributed is transformed into sustainable, compostable eco-products that we design and manufacture ourselves. From food containers to packaging, we prove that sustainability and affordability can coexist - creating economic value from what would otherwise be discarded.
What cannot be manufactured moves to Phase 4 - composting - where it is fully recovered.
What can't be eaten or manufactured into products completes the cycle. Our advanced aerobic digestion technology transforms all remaining organic material into nutrient-rich soil - in just 24-48 hours. That soil is distributed free to community participants to grow their own gardens and to farm partners to regrow food - feeding directly back into Phase 1 and starting the cycle again.
Free soil returns to participants and farm partners. They grow food. The loop begins again - back to Phase 1.
If it can be made in plastic, we can make it in compostable form.
We are developing a comprehensive line of certified compostable products - a direct, sustainable replacement for the single-use plastics that dominate everyday life. Packaging, serviceware, bags, utensils, containers, films - if it exists in plastic, we are building the compostable version.
Our mission is to make sustainable products accessible and affordable at scale. We are not building a niche eco brand for premium buyers - we are building a supply chain that makes compostable alternatives cost-competitive with plastic, so that sustainability is no longer a luxury.
The global compostable packaging market is growing rapidly - but affordability remains the single biggest barrier to mass adoption. 4MyCiTy is developing a production model that drives down the cost of compostable goods through local manufacturing, organic surplus inputs, and community-scale operations.
Our products will be marketed directly to restaurants, retailers, institutions, municipalities, and individual consumers - with a clear value proposition: sustainable products that are genuinely affordable, not a premium add-on.
North America's Gold Standard
Our compostable products carry BPI certification - independently tested and verified to meet ASTM D6400 and D6868 standards. BPI-certified products fully biodegrade in certified composting facilities without leaving harmful residues or microplastics.
Every product we manufacture is designed to be collected and processed through our Phase 4 composting technology - completing the closed loop from production to soil.
* Compostable product development is facilitated and managed under 4MyCiTy LLC.
Advanced urban composting systems - purpose-built to process organic material at scale within city limits and return certified, nutrient-rich soil back to the community.
We are developing advanced composting technology purpose-built for urban environments - compact, high-throughput systems that can process large volumes of organic material within city limits, without the land requirements of traditional composting operations.
Our technology is designed to produce rich, nutrient-dense compost soil at scale - certified for organic use and distributed free to participants and farm partners. This is the engine that closes the loop and returns real value to the community.
Organic material collected from participants, farm partners, and Phase 2–3 operations via drop-off and home pickup.
Material fed into our urban composting systems - accelerated breakdown using controlled aeration, moisture, and microbial activation.
Finished compost tested and verified to OMRI standards - safe, nutrient-rich, and approved for certified organic use.
Certified soil distributed free to program participants and farm partners - who grow food that re-enters Phase 2.
Organic Materials Review Institute
Our finished compost soil carries OMRI Listed certification - confirming it is approved for use in certified organic production under the USDA National Organic Program.
OMRI-certified soil is distributed free to participants and farm partners - who grow fresh fruits and vegetables that re-enter Phase 2. The loop is complete.
